HVLS Fan Installation Requirements

Fan Mounting Configurations:
1. Purlin mounting
2. I-beam mounting
3. Direct beam mounting (wooden/concrete)

Installation of HVLS fan and control package should only be performed by a qualified professional who has read and understands these instructions and is familiar with proper safety precautions. Improper installation poses a serious risk of injury due to electric shock, contact with rotating equipment, and other potential hazards. Always disconnect power prior to working on equipment.

 

 Common tools for installation

MAINTAIN THESE FAN CLEARANCES 

1) 43 inches minimum from the center of the fan to roof deck for ideal operating performance.

2) 120 inches minimum from the leading edge of the fan blade to the floor

3) 15 inches minimum from the fan blade leading edge to obstructions above or below the fan.

4) 10 inches minimum from the side of the fan to any obstruction.

Please recheck each bolt after securing them to ensure they meet the required torque settings.
